Born in Kodiak Alaska and raised in the northern wilds of Minnesota, Scott spent his early years avoiding homework. He misspent most of his youth, but he did have a lot of fun.
After barely graduating High School, Scott joined the Army in June, 1984, and eventually ended up working as an Explosive Ordnance Disposal technician. The job perverted Scott's perspective of reality as he spent his time between rendering safe unexploded ordnance and supporting the Secret Service with Bomb Search services. During his time supporting the Secret Service, he shook hands and spoke briefly with President Ronald Reagan, Vice President Bush, Jesse Jackson among many other VIP's and watched the 1988 primaries from the inside. He left in 1988 to fullfill the goal of being the first person on his father's side of the family to get a bachelors degree. He succeeded with a BA in Russian Area studies and went on the get an MA in Management in 2000.
He is a Corporate Executive with 24 years of Security experience and is certified in Security Management (CPP), IT Security (CISSP) and business continuity (CBCP).
In 2006, after turning 40, Scott decided it was time to get serious about his goal of becoming a writer. He started writing terrible short fiction in December, 2006 and after numerous rejections, had his first story accepted by Blazing Adventures Magazine in March, 2008.
Scott's first novel Feast, is available from Shroud Publishing.
Scott's second novel The White Faced Bear, is being revised and should be ready to submit in November.
Scott has rough drafts started for his 2nd Feast novel and follow up to The White Faced Bear, entitled The Game of the Bowl.
